The seat is plastic, but can easily be replaced with a wooden seat if you prefer.

The toilet is an open rim design and features a fully glazed trapway of 2 inches diameter. A 5 year limited warranty provides additional piece of mind to purchasers. Being an ADA approved toilet, it is a fairly tall model, sitting a full 17" high, excellent for anyone with leg or back problems.
